She understood the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling and decided to do something to reduce it.

Co-founders Story

Upcycle didn’t start in a boardroom — it started between two friends who’ve shared over a decade of laughter, ideas, travels, and endless “we should totally fix this” conversations.  For years, we watched single-use plastic quietly pile up around us — grocery bags, packaging, wrappers, bottles… consumed in seconds, but lasting for centuries.

One day, we looked at each other and realised we couldn’t just talk about change anymore. We had to create it.  So we began small.  A few cloth bags here.  A handful of repurposed wrappers there.  Late nights experimenting, stitching, un-stitching, and redesigning.

To our surprise, friends loved it. Then strangers loved it.

And during the pandemic, when we stitched thousands of reusable cotton masks, saving countless single-use masks from landfills, we felt something shift. This wasn’t a side hobby anymore — it was a calling.

Today, that little idea has grown into Upcycle — an eco-conscious brand with 25+ SKUs, workshops, NGO collaborations, international reach, media features, and awards celebrating sustainable innovation.

But the heart of our journey hasn’t changed. We’re still the same two friends who believe:
Waste isn’t waste until you waste it.

Every product we craft carries that belief.  Every workshop sparks a new mindset.
And every order reminds us that people are ready for better.

Thank you for being part of our story — and for choosing mindful living with us.
Together, we’re not just reducing waste… we’re transforming it.
